Sean MacCumhaill 0-17 Carndonagh 1-12
Sean MacCumhaills came good in the second half to pip Carndonagh by two points in the Grand Canal Hotel Intermediate Hurling. Championship final. It was tit-for-tat for most of the first half but coming up to half-time, Cathal Doherty gathered the sliothar on the stand side, powered past his marker and drove it to the net. A Luke White free moved the score out at the break to 1-6 to 0-5.
Carn started the second half strongly, swiftly moving into a six point 1-8 to 0-5 but that was as good as it got for the Inishowen side. MacCumhaills established control thereafter and were within a point 0-11 to 1-9 by the end of the first quarter. A point from White moved Carndonagh back out to two but the momentum was with the Twin Towns side who hit the next five scores.
