Results this week in Round 6 of the D Downey/G McLaughlin IRB Minor League saw the four teams in the top half of the table play each other and ditto for the bottom half. Malin lost their 100% record but remain unbeaten after their draw with Buncrana and still sit on top of the table. Naomh Pádraig Muff and Buncrana both leap frog Carndonagh after the latter went down 3-9 to 3-5 in Maurice McMenamin Memorial Park. Burt climbed to fifh place with a narrow win in Moville and Urris join them on four points following their victory over Naomh Colmcille.

The final round of the league will be played this Sunday with all four games starting at 11 pm. It is already clear, and has been for a few weeks, which four clubs will compete in the Division 1 semi-finals and which four will play in the Division 2 knock-out stages. As well as league placings, which will determine who plays who in the semi-finals (1v4, 2v3), there are also two places in the County League competition up for grabs. The top team progress to the Division 1 all-county semi-final and the team in fourth to the Division 2 all-county competition. This Sunday’s games are:
