It is going to be a busy weekend for Donegal football with All County League fixtures in football and hurling, a crucial top of the table Nickey Rackard clash between Donegal and Roscommon and the opening games for both our minor and senior squads in the Ulster Championship.
Luke Barrett’s county minors are up against Fermanagh who already have a good win under their belts having accounted for Down in their preliminary round game in Brewster Park last weekend. That game was a curtain-raiser to the senior Fermanagh-Tyrone game but this weekend the minor quarterfinal will be a standalone fixture in Páirc Sheáin Mhic Cumhaill at 4 pm on Saturday April 23rd.
Donegal will be happy with their campaign to date going into the Eirgrid minor championship having already beaten Fermanagh, as well as Derry and Sligo during their league campaign. Their only loss was to a wonder goal in a 1-9 to 0-9 defeat to Cavan in Kingspan Breffni Park and they exited the competition on points difference to the two evenutual finalists Cavan and Derry,
