The Ulster U17 Development league – Jim McGuigan Cup – features the nine Ulster teams and Sligo divided into two groups of 5 with the top team in each progressing to the final. Donegal’s final tie is sees them entertain Sligo this weekend at a venue that is yet to be decided. With Cavan, Derry and Donegal all dropping points against each other a three-way tie on six points if both Derry and Donegal win this Saturday and the place in the final could go down to points difference.
Throw-in against Sligo is at 12 noon on Saturday and the referee will be J Murphy from Fermanagh.At the same time Derry take on Fermanagh in Roslea. Cavan have already played all four of their games, beating Fermanagh, Donegal and Sligo and losing to Derry.
The u-17s Ulster Championship campaign commences on April 16th when they meet the winners of the Down/Fermanagh preliminary round game.
