Congratulations to Paddy McBrearty and Ryan McHugh who both made the GAA team of the week based on their performances in last Saturday’s tie against Armagh. After a second terrific solo goal in two weeks and an all-round solid performance Michael Langan cannot have been far away from inclusion as well. An excellent team performance in the second half, after a dis-appointing first 35 minutes, saw Donegal twice claw back five point deficits to earn the draw required to top Division 1 North and earn an Allianz national league semifinal appearance against Dublin in Breffni Park on June 12.
Paddy McBrearty – Man of the Match in the Athletic Grounds – is also one of the three nominees for GAA player of the week.
