Beware of scams

Donegal hurlers v  Kildare is currently streaeming live on You Tube and not going well. Nevertheless I still see tweets and facebook posts advertising a stream of the game. The only coverage of this  Allianz National Hurling League Roinn 2B game is from Kildare GAA and is free YouTube. The Allianz League football against Tyrone will be live on TG4 from 4.30 pm for viewers in Ireland and will be available for international viewers on GAAGo for €5.  The link to GAAGO for our International viewers is https://www.gaago.ie/fixture/PL5-21-F-W2U and I will have this on site before each football match.

Again these are the only official broadcasts of these games. Subscribers should be aware there is currently a big issue with piracy and phishing sites who are stealing people’s credit card details. There are numerous sites pretending to be GAAGO, and while GAAGO do manage to get them shut down others quickly appear. People should buy on the GAAGO website gaago.ie – nowhere else. People used apps a good bit to cast games to their TV last season, that’s all great, but if they want to avoid paying the surcharge of €1/2 that Apple and Google put on it via the app, then they should buy from the site itself where a €5 game costs €5 and not €7.20 etc…. they can still watch through the app.

Supporters experiencing a new wave of spam messages from fake streaming accounts on their social posts this weekend should ignore them. They seem to be even more relentless when compared with last summer. The GAA  have been in contact with Facebook on the issue. and they are not the only organisation facing this problem. What FB can do isn’t as sweeping and impactful as the GAA hoped. As with GAAGO above, for Donegal GAA fans the only place the games CLG Dhún na nGall are streaming will be available for purchase is our website. Buy there and nowhere else.
