Buncrana and Naomh Muire maintained their 100% record in the league stages of the Michael Murphy Championship while Naomh Columba and Cloich Cheann Fhaola moved into the top four with crucial wins against Gaeil Fhánadá and Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon respectively. The top four are already guaranteed quarterfinal spots but none of them have yet secured home venue. Red Hughs and Naomh Bríd both improved their chances of a quarterfinal berth rather than entering the relegation play-offs with good home wins.

The final round of ties in the Intermediate championship will be played simultaneously at 6.30 on Saturday evening August 22nd. Buncrana and Naomh Mhuire both face tough away ties against Naomh Colmchille and Malin, respectively, both of whom have two points but have not lost at home. Naomh Ultan and Burt both need big home wins (and other results to go their way) to reach the quarterfinals, while Naomh Bríd face the daunting task of an away win in Cloich Cheann Fhaols to reach the last eight – Cloughaneely are already through but will be playing for a home quarterfinal. Aodh Ruadh will be similarly minded away to Fanad while the home side need a win to ensure a quarterfinal berth. Points difference is likely to be crucial in the placings.
