Aodán Ó Braonáin (Cathaoirleach, Coiste Náisiúnta Scór) has recently been speaking about the cancellation of the National Scór finals and promoting Virtual Scór and his full comments can be found on:

Ag an am seo den bhliain ba cheart go mbeadh ‘fáiltiú’ á scríobh agam roimh mhuintir Scór chuig Babhtaí Ceannais Scór Sinsir na hÉireann san INEC i gCill Airne. The cancellation of the finals is especially difficult for those Gaels who have trained hard, won a county title and hoped for All-Ireland glory. The current intention is to complete the current Scór Sinsir competition before commencing the 2021 renewal but health and safety concerns are paramount and such considerations will determine what happens.

While live Scór competitions are in hibernation there is a vibrant and varied Scór programme of activity being run online. “Virtual Scór” affords the opportunity to perform in a multiple of disciplines on Facebook, (GAA Scór Oifigiúl) and the range of performance and creativity on display has been outstanding. County and provincial Scór committees are actively promoting performance and celebrating past performers on social media. A diary of upcoming events can be found on “GAA Scór Oifigiúil” on Facebook.
