Declan Bonner confirmed today that long-time servant Leo McLoone has decided to retire from inter-County football. A driving force in Naomh Conaill’s Senior Championship win and progression to the Ulster club final last year,
Leo made his debut as an 18 year old, has played under five different senior managers, winning a pocketful of Ulster, League and All-Ireland medals. He was accurately described by Declan as an “brilliant servant to Donegal football … and a very important part of the panel”.
