The Donegal senior football champions will begin the County’s defence of the Ulster title won by Gaoth Dobhair in 2018 against the Cavan champions in Kingspan Breffni Park on Sunday November the 3rd. The Donegal senior final is due to be played on Sunday October 20th, giving the winners a two-week break before heading for Breffni.
Donegal are also defending the junior Ulster title – Red Hughs are the current champions – and the County’s representatives will play the winners of the preliminary round between the Antrim and Armagh champions. The Junior quarterfinals are on Saturday October 19th, six days after the preliminary round game on Sunday Oct 13th. Where the match is played depends on who wins the preliminary round game – if the Antrim champions prevail the game will be in Páirc Mhic Chumhaill but in Crossmaglen if the Armagh champions win. The Donegal Junior Final is scheduled for Saturday October 12th.
In the Ulster Intermediate Championship the Donegal champions will travel to Corrigan Park to play the Antrim representatives. The game is scheduled for November 3rd giving the Donegal champions three weeks preparation time – the Intermediate final is scheduled for Sunday Oct 13th.
