Kilcar will be presented with the Brian McCormick Division 1 League trophy after their home game against Milford next Sunday. They defeated Glenswilly on Sunday  in one of four clashes involving the six teams battling to avoid the drop to Division 2. After losing to Realt na Mara by the minimum margin, in a game that saw 9-13 scored in a topsy turvy second half, a battling Milford side now face second division football in 2020. In Ballybofey, Sean MacCumhaill’s lost comprehensively to St Eunan’s and look likely to join Baile na nGalloglách. It is a tall order but the Ballybofey side could still survive if they win their final two ties – four teams are locked on 12 points, four league points ahead of them. The results were:

Glenswilly 2-4 Kilcar 2-20
Sean Mac Cumhaill 0-2 St Eunan’s 0-19
Naomh Conaill 3-16 Gaoth Dobhair 0-7
Milford 5-11 Bundoran 5-12
Cloughaneely 1-10 St Michael’s 2-15
