Dungloe play Buncrana this Friday in the one of the two catch-up games in Marley Travel Division 2 on Friday evening with Glenfin home to Naomh Columba in the last outstanding tie on August 23rd.
Ardara lead Division 2 by three points with a large points difference over their rivals and while strong favourites for the title cannot afford to rest on their laurels as behind them in the table, Killybegs and St Nauls will be fighting hard for the last promotion spot and an outside chance of Division 2 champions. Glenfin and Aodh Ruadh will also be hoping to be in with a chance on the last round of games on August 31st but will require the clubs above them to drop points. Glenfin are not masters of their own destiny but for Aodh Ruadh promotion is in their own hands as they play both Killybegs and Nauls in their run-in starting at home to Na Cealla Beaga on Sunday. The fight for survival at the bottom of Division 2 encompasses all six remaining teams although it would take an unlikely set of results to see either Glenfin or Dungloe face the drop. With Buncrana facing two games over the weekend, both against other teams in the relegation zone, by Sunday evening their faith could be sealed or the race to survive could be very open with two rounds left to play.
