While Glenfin are also in contention there are effectively four teams chasing the Division 2 title with Ard an Ratha in pole position and Aodh Ruadh Beal Átha Seanaigh the furthest off the pace but the Ballyshannon side have their faith in their own hands as they play each of the three teams above them. There are three catch-up games this weekend involving each of the top three contenders as Killybegs host Dungloe on Saturday and Ardara play St Nauls at Páirc Gearóid O’Gallachóir.
Ardara’s other three games on Aug 18th, 25th and 31st are Four Masters (A), Dungloe (H) and Aodh Ruadh (A). Nauls finish with games against Dungloe (A), Aodh Ruadh (H) and Naomh Columba (A). Na Cealla Beaga who welcome back Hugh McFadden play Aodh Ruadh (A), Naomh Columba (H) and Termon (A). While the Division 2 title may be beyond Glenfin’s grasp with four games to play but with the other top teams playing each other winning all four of their remaining games could put Glenfin in contention for promotion. Glenfin play Termon (A), Naomh Columba (H), Four Masters (H) and Dungloe (A).
