Comhghairdeas CLG Chill Charta – with three games still left to play Kilcar’s victory tonight against Cloich Cheann Fhaola put them seven points ahead of second place Noamh Conaill, who lost earlier in the day to St Eunans. Last year’s champions, Gaoth Dobhair defeated Milford and have five games left to play but trail Kilcar by 11 league points.
St Michael’s 3-11 Realt na Mara 2-7 (Friday)
Realt na Mara 1-14 Glenswilly 2-12
Cill Chartha 2-18 Cloich Cheann Fhaola 0-10
St Eunan’s 1-16 Naomh Conaill 0-15
Gaoth Dobhair 2-13 Baile na nGalloglach 1-10
St Michael’s 1-16 Sean Mac Cumhaill 2-6
It was a good weekend for St Michaels with two home wins, against Realt na Mara on Friday and Sean MacCumhaills on Sunday. Conversely it was a bad weekend for Realt na Mara who lost at home by the minimum to Glenswilly on Sunday. Milford’s defeat in Gaoth Dobhair leaves them with an almost impossible task if they are to avoid relegation. The maximum points they can achieve is ten, although all of their games are at home – two to fellow relegation contenders Naomh Micheál and Realt na Mara and the other to Chill Chartha, already champions but who will be anxious to maintain their unbeaten record.
