It’s been a different story in 2019 for the hurlers of Donegal and London. Last year’s Christy Ring Cup finalists play the 2018 Nicky Rackard Champions in a winner takes all survival battle to play Christy Ring hurling in 2020.
Donegal, appeared to have improved considerably from their league campaign when they held Wicklow for most of their game in Letterkenny and were unlucky to go down by three points to Derry in Owenbeg but then fell apart against Down. A win today, however, will see them remain in the higher Division and given them a chance to consolidate next year.
Throw-in in St Oliver Plunkett Park in Crossmaglen is at 1.00 pm. This will be followed by the relegation play-off between Monaghan and Louth in the Nicky Rackard Cup.
