Kilcar and Gaoth Dobhair played their re-scheduled Brian McCormick Division 1 game yesterday at Machaire Gathlán, with both teams missing their county contingents. As in the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta final last Monday at the same venue the lads from the South-West prevailed in a tight encounter. At half-time, the home team led by the minimum, 0-7 to 0-6 but a Stephen McBrearty penalty moved Cill Chartha into pole position early in the second half. They led from there to the end. Pauric McShane scored the second Kilcar goal and Kevin Cassidy netted for Gaoth Dobhair.
