Eamonn Doherty, representing CLG Dhún na nGall at the launch of the Ulster Senior football championship, commented that like many young Gaels growing up in the County he dreamed of wearing the Donegal jersey in an Ulster final on a scorching hot day in Clones. The path to that final starts for Donegal in Brewster Park on May 26th in a replay of last year’s final. Donegal won that one but lost to the Erne-siders earlier this year in O’Donnell Park – Fermanagh winning a tough and tight game. This is Championship though – it will also be tough with no quarter given and there will be times when Donegal need all the support they can get.
