Naomh Columba are division 1 county minor league champions after a terrific team performance against opponents Sean Mac Cumhaills tonight in front of a packed Ardara.
Aaron Doherty was the hero for the Glenmen with 11 points including 2 frees from the 45. The Ballybofey men just couldn’t get going tonight and will have to put this behind them as the minor championship is just round the corner and theirs no doubt this talented team will be in contention but tonight wasn’t their night. Naomh Columba from the start looked up for it and raced into a 10 point half time lead 1-12 to 1-2. County minor Doherty was the play maker at number 6 and was indeed the difference between the 2 sides. FT Naomh Columba 1-17 (20), Sean Mac Cumhaills 2-6(12)
Dungloe were crowned division 2 champions after a battling performance against Milford as the Rosses men won with 3 points to spare 4-11 (23) to 2-14 (20). The game was played in front of a big crowd in Glenfin.
