Club Notes: Week ending – 17th of July 2016
Ulster Final:
Commiserations to Marty and the Senior Donegal Footballers and Management after today’s defeat to Tyrone. On a more positive note congratulations to Carl Dunnion and the Donegal Minor Footballers on their Ulster Minor Championship Final win over Derry.
Senior Hurling:
Our Senior Hurlers hosted Buncrana in the second game of the Donegal Senior Hurling Championship on Saturday evening. The team put in one really strong performance and came out easy winners in the end on a score line of 1.25 to 0.07.
Senior Men’s Football:
Seniors and Reserves are scheduled to travel to St. Nauls on Sunday. Throw in times are 1.30pm for the reserves and 3.00pm for the seniors. Keep an eye as fixtures are prone to change as of late. The thirds recorded a win over Glenties on Saturday evening on a score of 3.10 to 1.06. Next game for thirds is a home game versus St. Eunans on Saturday evening fixed for 7.00pm.
Ladies Football:
Minor ladies are away to Lifford on Tuesday evening. Throw in at 7.00pm with bus leaving at 5.45 sharp, bring €3 for bus.
Super Valu Kits for Clubs:
Kavanagh’s Super Valu Ballybofey have once again launched their Kits for Clubs. As proud sponsors of the GAA Football All- Ireland Championship they have donated over 400 juvenile GAA clubs with kits worth over €430k collectively and our own Local Super Valu has always been a great supporter of the club and once again we can benefit from their generosity. Every time you spend over €40 on a shopping you will get a special receipt at the till. Just put that receipt in the Seán Mac MacCumhaills box. It’s that simple!
Bingo:
The Bingo takes place in the Villa Rose Hotel on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.
Lotto:
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 8, 20, 21 and 25. There were three match three winners: Francie Lynch, Corgary, Geraldine Martin, Clochan, Anita Foy c/o Villa Rose who all receive €50 each. This week’s jackpot is still a massive €10,000. John Lillis’ team is selling this week.
Club Shop:
The club shop is now open on a Wednesday evening from 5.45 to 7.30. The shop has received a delivery of club crested shorts, socks and bags. We also have small sized hurling helmets in club colours with crest now half price at €55.

Under-10 Boy’s and Girl’s football: Saturday at 10.00am.
Under-8 Hurling training – Sundays from 1-2pm
Under-10 Hurling training – Sundays from 1-2pm
Under-12 Hurling training – Mondays from 7- 8pm. All help would be greatly appreciated.
