CLUB NOTES FOR WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 19 JUNE 2016
FUNDRAISING DRAW
We’re down to the last few days before the draw, and would ask for everyone to give a couple of hours selling tickets before the draw in the Lagoon on Saturday.
SENIORS & RESERVES
After the break for Ulster Championship, where it was great to see Caolan Reid and Patrick McDaid take to the field in their Donegal jerseys for the Cumann na mBunscoil game at half-time, Division 1 league football returns to the Burn Road on Sunday when we welcome the Dungloe Reserves at 1.30 and their senior team at 3pm. It’s been a few weeks now since we had a home game, so we look forward to good home support on Sunday.
ANNUAL 5K
This year’s 5k takes place in two weeks’ time, Tuesday 28 June at 7.30 pm, from An Craoibhín to the pitch, with refreshments afterwards at An Craoibhín.
MINOR BOARD GIRLS & BOYS
Minor training is on Friday evening 7-8 at the pitch, any queries contact Aileen on 0861020368.
In their last game of the championship our U14 B squad were fantastic against group leaders Cloughaneely at home on Wednesday afternoon last. The Termon girls were quick off the mark and led for most of the first half. Unfortunately, despite coming out guns blazing again in the 2nd half, their lead was to be cut short and the Cloughaneely girls showed why they topped the group, leaving with full points. They then played a very strong Ardara side at home on Tuesday evening and again our girls came out all guns blazing and won 5.7-4.7 ensuring their spot in the Fair Play county final. Again every girl played exceptionally well and we would like to wish them and their manager Lisa McGlynn the very best of luck in the final. Details of which TBC. The ‘A’ team’s season is far from over yet and training continues Tuesdays and Fridays at 5:30pm.
U12 girl’s training continues Wednesday’s at 5:15pm.
Our under 14 boys won their championship group game on Friday last. The under 12 boys play away in Milford on Wednesday evening.
Training resumes for under 10s on Saturday, please check the Termon Minor Board Boys and Girls Facebook page for updates on training.
Excitement is mounting amongst our under 14 boys and girls with just over a week to go to Féile 2016!
LOTTO
Last week’s lotto draw was held in Nora’s. Numbers drawn were 2,8,12 and 26. There was no jackpot winner or Match 3 winner. Open draw winners were Andy McFadden and Eddie Morrisson. Next week’s draw takes place in McClafferty’s with Don Gallagher and Benny Gallagher co-ordinating, and the jackpot now stands at a very nice €1,600!
BINGO
Bingo continues at 9pm in An Craoibhín, many thanks to all for their continued support.
