The Seniors and Reserves got their 2016 Championship underway on Sunday in the Park against Kilcar. The Seniors put in an excellent second half performance that was only lacking the scores to go with their performance as the game finished in a draw. The Reserves led by the minimum at half time in their game before a good 2nd half saw them win comfortably in the end. Both teams travel to Bundoran this Sunday, games throw-in at 1:30pm and 3pm.
The Juniors are back in league action this weekend as they host MacCumhaills on Saturday evening with a 7pm throw-in.
Best of luck to the Donegal Senior Hurlers who take on Mayo in O’Donnell Park on Saturday in the Nicky Rackard Cup semi-final, throw-in is at 3:30pm.
The Minor Boys footballers lost their county league semi-final to Ardara last week and will have no games now until championship in July.
The U14 hurlers will take on Buncrana in the Co. A League Final this Thursday night with venue tbc. The Minor hurlers had a good win over Aodh Ruadh, BS last week and will take on Carndonagh in the Minor B League Final this Thursday night, venue also tbc. Congratulations to Paul O’Donnell who won the County U14 Hurling Skills competition and will represent Donegal in Abbottstown in a few weeks’ time.
The U12 boy’s footballers host Fanad Gaels this Wednesday night in their 3rd round of fixtures and the U11’s travel to N. Colmcille. Games throw-in at 7pm.
The U14 Camógs had a good win over Burt on Monday night. Camogie training continues every Wednesday at 5:30pm for U12, U14 and U16.
Please note that the Training Pitch will close after the Century Cinemas Sunday Morning Football Academy on May 29th and re-open on Friday, June 17th for the Hurling & Camogie Academy. This will give the pitch a much needed rest, please make alternative arrangements during this period.
