Club Notes: Week ending – 15th of May 2016
Senior Men’s Football:
Our teams were in action in the Senior Championship on Sunday with a trip away to Malin. The reserves were deserved winners on a score line of 1.08 to 1.05 but unfortunately despite a spirited and brave performance from the senior team we were just short of a positive result from the game. Seán MacCumhaills: 1.09 Malin 2.09. There are not fixtures scheduled for this coming weekend.
Senior Ladies Football:
Our Senior ladies hosted Termon B team on Sunday morning and once again this young Mac Cumhaills team weren’t going to be intimidated. Mac Cumhaills opened the scoring with a fine score from Sarah Mc Croary but as the game wore on Termon’s experience showed and they found their scores easier to come by. Mac Cumhaills never gave up the fight and added points through Cathy De Ward and Eimear Gillooley topped off with a lovely goal from Holly Gillespie. Although the scoreboard didn’t reflect the game the girls received a lot of respect from their opponents for their never say die attitude. Keep up the hard work girls. Training continues on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7.00pm and all new members are welcome.
Bingo:
The Bingo takes place in the Villa Rose on Sunday night with an 8.30pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less. All are very welcome.
Lotto Results:
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 3, 12 and 14. There was 3 match 3 winners: Terry Brady, JJ Dorrian and Dano Laverty who receive €50 each. This week’s jackpot is a massive €10,000 and Barry Dowd’s team is selling.
