BUNCRANA CLG NOTES (01.05.2016)
We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to our chairman, Chris Walsh and his family on the death of his father, Dan Walsh. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Walsh family at this time.
Senior Football.
Buncrana senior footballers were away this weekend to Letterkenny Gaels. This time though they were under strength and were on the losing side by the narrow margin of 3 points.
Our reserve team, again support by some of our minor footballers were showing great strength winning with big performances from Craig Doherty and John Cassidy. Conor O’Donnell again was consistent and to even up the average age of a very young team, Stephen and Paul McGonigle featured adding experience to the game.
Senior Ladies:
Buncrana 4 7 Carndonagh 2 11. Buncrana ladies won a hard fought local derby with a great display of hunger to record their first victory in division one after a dominant first half. They had to withstand a late Carn comeback to hold on for a well deserved win in a great team performance young Lucy Jackson, Aimee Casey and Bernie Devlin were outstanding. Well done ladies. Termon at home next Sunday come along and give them the support they deserve
