Minor Boys Football commences this Sunday, March 6th with the Northern Board League. The Div. 1 team travel to Buncrana and the Development Team host MacCumhaills. Both games throw-in at 12 noon.
There was a great turnout at the 5k on Saturday evening and it was former player and Irish Triathlon champion Aidan Callaghan who won the race, pipping minor player Donal Farren by just one second. Donal did lead the Minor footballers to the team award however. Well done to all the organisers on a superb event. Thank you also to sponsors Brian McCormick Sports and Michael Murphy Sports for their support.
There will be a Registration Night this Thursday evening between 7pm and 8:30pm in the Clubhouse. All members are reminded to come out and pay their 2016 fees if they have not already done so. All Lotto members must also re-register as we have changed banks. All managers are asked to text a reminder to their players.
Preparations are well underway for the double-header of football and hurling on March 13th in O’Donnell Park as the hurlers take on Down in Div. 2B and the footballers take on Roscommon in Div. 1 of the Allianz Leagues. If you can help in any way, please contact a member of the Executive.
The Training Pitch is being assessed on a week to week basis for availability due to the weather. Please contact Vincent or Paul McGovern before organising a training session. Only teams that have games imminent should be looking to get onto the grass in current weather conditions.
