Notice to all involved with Under-Age teams
GAA regulations now strictly require everyone coming into contact with Underage Members/Players in the Club at any level, to be Garda Vetted. From Manager to anyone helping out at training matches, collecting fees, sideline supervision, Scór activities, bus drivers, first aiders etc. everyone with any contact working with underage have to fill in Garda Vetting form. A list of members who are currently Garda Vetted has been forwarded to the Club, everyone else is required to fill a form which the Club will then forward it to Ulster. The Garda Vetting form is relatively easy to fill, it requires the usual details, name, DOB, and all addresses lived at from birth. All forms to be placed in sealed envelope and returned to Oifigeach Leanaí Gaeil Fhánada and forwarded directly to Ulster Council. Once forms are
received and checked by Ulster Council, notice will be sent back to the individuals concerned confirming all is ok, or where further information is required. The Club will receive a list of all successfully vetted. GV Forms will be available at the Gaeil Fhánada Membership registration night in Rosnakill Resource Centre on 12th Feb from 7.00p.m. – 8.00p.m. and also via Bord na n-Óg, as the various teams get back to training.
Gaeil Fhánada wish to emphasise that the safety and wellbeing of all our members is of the highest priority and we take our obligation to protect the wellbeing of our under-age members very seriously. Our club is proud of the strong volunteer base on which we are founded and your co-operation would be greatly appreciated as we head into what will hopefully be another successful season at all levels of the Club.
