CLUB LOTTO
The twenty-third Club Lotto draw of the year took place on Monday the 29th of June at the clubhouse. The numbers drawn were 10, 18, 21, and 29. There was no jackpot winner. Two players matched three of the numbers drawn. They were: Hugh Kelly (Porthall) and Eileen Doherty (Tamnawood, Ballindrait). Each received €50.
Next week’s jackpot is €1500.
THE WEEK GONE BY
On Saturday past, both Men’s Teams recorded victories over Moville in Round 13 of the All County League. Having suffered a comprehensive defeat to Moville earlier in the season, the Senior team ran out two-point winners on this occasion on a score line of 2-7 to 0-11. This result sees the Senior team move up to third place in the Division 4 All County League table. Meanwhile, the Reserve team recorded a comfortable victory over the same opposition on a score line of 2-19 to 1-04. The Reserve team still sit top of the Division 4 ACL Reserve table, two points ahead of Naomh Ultan (Dunkineely).
THE WEEK AHEAD
U-14 Ladies, U-16 Ladies and Minor Ladies training continues on Monday and Wednesday evenings at our home pitch from 6PM to 7PM. All players are asked to contribute €2 towards the cost of each training session.
Men’s team training continues as normal on Mondays and Thursdays at the Training Pitch in Rossgier. All players are asked to be on the pitch, ready to begin training at 7:20PM sharp on both nights.
Under-16 Boys training takes place at our home pitch in Lifford on Wednesday evening at 5:30PM. All players are asked to contribute €2 towards the cost of each training session.
Under-6, Under-8 and Under-10 team training continues at our home pitch in Lifford on Friday evenings from 6PM to 7PM. All players are asked to contribute €2 towards the cost of each training session.
Under-12 team training continues as normal at our home pitch in Lifford on Saturday afternoons from 12PM to 1PM. All players are asked to contribute €2 towards the cost of each training session.
On Saturday evening, our Men’s Senior team kick off their Junior A Championship campaign at home to Na Rossa. On paper, this game should make for interesting viewing with Naomh Padraig Lifford yet to lose at home all season; however the men from The Rosses did manage to secure the two league points when the sides met in Round 11 of the All County League a couple of weeks ago. Throw in for the game is 7:30PM.
On Sunday evening, our Men’s Reserve team kick off their Junior B Championship campaign with a derby game against Robert Emmets of Castlefinn. The Men’s Reserve team come into the game on a high having lost just a single league game all season; however Robert Emmets represent something of an unknown quantity given that they only field a Reserve team for the Junior B championship. Throw in for the game is 5:00PM in Lifford.
