Under 14 Boys
Red Hugh’s Under 14 boys got their league campaign of to an impressive start with a hard fought victory over neighbours Robert Emmets in Castlefinn. Robert Emmets got off to a dream start with a goal on their 1st attack. This set back did not upset the Red Hugh’s lads who fought back twice to go level at half time with a score of 2-1 to 7 points.
Playing against a stiff breeze in the 2nd half the Red Hugh’s boys worked hard together as a team to push on for a 3 point victory with Emmets scoring only 2 points in the 2nd half. This could have been a different result only for the heroics of Oisin Gallagher who put in a man of the match display in goal for Red Hugh’s with a number of point blank saves in the 2nd half that ensured victory for Red Hugh’s. Training continues on Friday at 7pm.

The lads played Glenfin in their second game of their league campaign at home on Monday evening. In a very tight first half their was little between the teams at the break.
