Minor club footballers had a busy couple of days with games on both Saturday and St Patricks Day.
St Michaels have maintained their unbeaten run and are top of the North West Minor League with four wins from four games. St Eunans are on top in the East with Glenswilly, Letterkenny Gaels and Buncrana joint top in the Central section. Moville are the table toppers in Inishowen.
The competition now takes a bit of a break and, outstanding fixtures aside, will go into the final round of group games on Tuesday 31 March.
The U16 Northern Board Leagues get under way this Sunday at 12 noon. Like the minor grade, the first phase sees the competition organised in four geographic sections, ensuring plenty of local derbies. The top two teams from each section will then go on to qualify for the Division 1 league and championship.
Finally, congratulations to the Donegal Minor Football team on their big win over Fermanagh on Monday night.
