Buncrana GAA Notes for Week Ending Sunday 8st March 2015
Congratulations to our clubman Cathal Wilson who took part in “THE RACE” on Saturday completing a 250km course which seen him run, cycle and climb for a total of 21hr 21min to finish in 17th position in 1 of the 10 toughest endurance races in the world. Cathal’s words of advice “Anyone thinking of entering next year I would strongly recommend training for it.” Such an achievement WELL DONE.

Senior Ladies Football
Our Ladies had their first game in the intermediate league against a experienced Four Masters who are county intermediate champions and beaten by 1 point in the Ulster final. Our Girls battled hard but lost out by a narrow 3-9 to 3-6..
Seachtain Na Gaelige / Lá Fhéile Pádraig
The Club is hosting a coffee morning (Maidin Chaife) in conjunction with Seachtain na Gaelige in O Flathertys Bar on Friday 13th from 11am – 3pm. Everyone Welcome.
We are also organizing some events for Seachtain na Gaeilge and St Patrick’s Day. Anyone interested in getting involved should contact Deirdre or Grainne or email buncrana.pro@gmail.com .

Underage News
U10 Boys Football
The boys started their indoor league on Saturday against Malin with both teams fielding almost 40 children between them. The games showed high levels of skills
and were played with great intensity. A great starting point for these young lads.
U10 Girls Football
Our girls u10s team played away to malin in the first game of the indoor league, our girls did themselves proud, especially considering some of them have literally only taken up Gaelic in the last fortnight! Scores arent kept at u10 but if they were this would have been a tight game! So well done girls!
Parish League – was proponed last week due to the weather, it will resume as normal on Tuesday at 3.15pm remember its still not too late to register.
