STARS IN THEIR EYES FUNDRAISER
As we’ve mentioned over the past few weeks, the Club has opted to hold a ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ event as its first fundraiser of 2015. In addition to the artists announced last week, we have since managed to secure the services of chart-topper Meghan Trainor, country legend Kenny Rogers and Alanah Myles (of ‘Black Velvet’ fame). We will be announcing two more artists next week, as well as revealing the true identities of those taking to the stage on the night. The event takes place in
Bannigans Bar, Main Street, Lifford on Saturday the 21st of March at 9PM. Tickets for the event are now on sale at the low cost of €5. Tickets can be obtained from Club Members John McDermott, Meghan McNulty, Christine Marley, Orla McGhee and Caroline McBride.
John can be reached on 0872106832, while Meghan can be contacted on 0863943127. Christine Marley can be contacted on 0868964163, or you can get in touch with Orla by calling 0867300218. Tickets for the event are selling fast so be sure to get yours while tickets are still available.
MINOR BOARD MEETING
The second Minor Board meeting of the year is scheduled to take place on Monday the 9th of March at the Lifford Resource Centre on the Gallows Lane at 7:30PM. Parents and guardians of all underage players are asked to attend – from Under-8 right up to Minor level (Under-18). Parents with children not currently playing Football with the Club are also welcome to attend, should they wish to pose any questions to the Clubs coaches about their children taking up Gaelic Football with the Club.
TOPAZ ‘CASH FOR CLUBS’ DRAW
The Topaz ‘Cash for Clubs’ draw was launched last week at the Aviva Stadium by Kilkenny hurler Henry Shefflin and former Kildare footballer Dermott Earley, amongst others. The competition gives sports clubs throughout Ireland the chance to win one of a number of cash prizes on offer.
In order to be entered in to the draw, Naomh Padraig must first collect 300 fully completed ‘Cash for Clubs’ Cards before Sunday, the 10th of May.
Club Members and Supporters can pick up a ‘Cash For Clubs’ Card free of charge from any Topaz Energy retailer throughout Ireland. In order to complete your ‘Cash For Clubs’ Card, you must make five fuel purchases of €40/£30 or more at a Topaz Energy retailer of your choice. With each purchase of fuel of €40/30 or more, you will receive one stamp on your ‘Cash For Clubs’ Card. Once a Card receives five stamps, it is considered completed and can then be used as one of the 300 ‘Cash For Clubs’ Cards needed to enter the Club into the draw. Please note that stamps will only be awarded for fuel purchases, and that only one stamp will be received for each purchase of €40/£30 or more.
The Club would appeal to all Club Members and supporters to aid us in our efforts to be entered into the main draw for this great prize, as entry in the draw guarantees the Club a cash prize. Entry into the draw guarantees €250, while one lucky Club will be the winner of €10000. In addition, there are a number of chances to win €1000 and €5000 respectively.
Completed ‘Cash For Clubs’ Cards can be returned to any Club Committee Member.
