The Club AGM took place on Sunday the 11th of January at the Habintag Housing Complex, Main St., Lifford. The following officers were elected on the night:

Following the AGM, the Club held its first monthly meeting where the decision was taken to form a Minor Board.
The Minor Board is being formed with a view to putting underage coaching structures in place within the Club, with the end goal being the long term, future success of the Club. The Club Committee has delegated responsibility of the Minor Board to Coaching Officer Paul Melaugh for the year ahead. The Club has pulled off a major coup in securing the services of Paul in this role as he has significant experience in this area, having previously coached at Letterkenny Gales, a Club with an excellent track record of success in underage football, as well as having served as secretary to the Donegal Minor Board.
Club Lotto
The first Club Lotto draw of the year took place on Monday the 26th of January at the Clubhouse. The numbers drawn were 8, 11, 13 and 18. There was no jackpot winner however four people matched 3 numbers: Mark McGrath (Coolatee), Eileen Coll (Porthall), Paddy McKinney (Ballindrait) and Margaret O’Hagan (Ardnasool). Each received €25.
The second Club Lotto draw of the year was held on Monday the 2nd of February. On the night, the number 6, 11, 21 and 28 were drawn. There was no winner of the jackpot; however there were two Match-3 winners: Liam Daly (Lifford) and Luke Crawford (Glenfad, Porthall). Both received €50 each.
Next week’s Lotto jackpot is €2,250.
The Week Ahead
Mens team training commences this Thursday, the 5th of February at the Training Pitch in Rossgier. All players are asked to be on the pitch, ready to begin training at 7:30PM sharp.
Irish classes with Fergal McLaughlin continue as normal at the Clubhouse every Thursday night from 7:30PM to 8:30PM.
Under-8 team training continues as normal every Saturday morning in the Lifford Community Centre at 11AM.
On Monday the 9th of February, the Naomh Padraig Minor Board will be holding an open meeting at the Lifford/Clonleigh Resource Centre on the Gallows Lane at 7:30PM. The purpose of the meeting is to outline the Minors Boards plans and goals for the year ahead. Parents and guardians of all underage players are asked to attend on the night.
Stars In Their Eyes
The Clubs first fundraiser of the year has been pencilled in for Saturday the 21st of March in Bannigans Bar, Main St., Lifford. In a change from previous years, the Club has opted to hold a ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ singing competition. While we can promises nothing as regards the quality of the singing on the night, we can guarantee a great nights fun and some brilliant entertainment. Tickets for the event are priced at €5 each and will be available from Club Members soon. Music on the night will be provided by Paul ‘Big P’ Simpson. Singers for the big night, as well as their alter egos, will be announced in the coming weeks.
Sympathies
The Club would to like to extend its sympathies to the McFeely family of Foreglen, Co. Derry, and the O’Neill and Mahon families of Lifford and Strabane on their recent bereavements – ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
