The Minor Hurlers long season came to an end in Ballinascreen on Sunday, when they were beaten by a strong Liatriom side from County Down, from the throw in our boys gave it their all and lead for a good part of the first half thanks mainly to the score of the game from an accurate 40 yard pass young Tom Clare rattled the net, the Down champs rallied quickly and were 2 points up at halftime,
The second half was a different story and Liatroim took control and ran out deserving winners on a scoreline of 1:17 to 1:5.
The management team of Seamus, John and Frank would like to thank all players for their contribution to a memorable year, dedication to training, attitude on and off the field that did not go unnoticed, you were a pleasure to work with, hopefully these boys will form the backbone of our senior team next year as we look to build on our success at underage.
Thanks to Kevin Kelly and the Ballinascreen club for the excellent hosting of the tournament, hopefully we will be back next year,
U13 Girls Football
The County B Championship Final between Buncrana and Noamh Mhuire was not for the faint-hearted and was a cracking end-to-end game.
In the end Buncrana won it 4-8 to 4-6….the game would have been over in the 1st half if we had brought our shooting boots, but we stuck at it and kept the pressure on Naomh Mhuire. Although a close result in the end, it would have been an injustice for anything other than a win for Buncrana. Great team effort and great support on the sideline as well. Thanks to everybody and our sponsors the Beach House
