Four Masters GAA Club Notes
Seniors/Reserves: Well done to Four Masters Seniors against Mac Cumhaill’s in the Championship earning a comphrensive win in Mac Cumhaill Park on Saturday last. Also congratulations to Reserves on their win, with a very good second half display. Thanks to all the supporters that travelled over to support the boys. Both teams are out again in Championship next Sunday 12th October away to Glenfin. Best of luck to both teams.
Ladies: Well done to the Four Masters Ladies team and Manager Dylan Davitt and his management team, on their superb victory away to Ballymartin Co. Down on Sunday last with a score line 3-14 to 2-04.
Thanks Jim: Jim Mc Guinness announcement of his departure as Donegal Senior team manager came as a shock on Friday night last but not unexpected. Jim was appointed in July 2010 on a four year term, after his success with the U21 team. In the last five years we all have experienced the best years so far in memory of Donegal G.A.A. for all of us supporters. The achievements of the U21 Ulster title 2010, and all Ireland appearance, 3 Ulster Senior titles, 2011, 2012,& 2014 in four years, and winning one all Ireland 2012, out of two appearances is an absolutely massive record and achievement. The club would like to thank Jim and congratulate him for raising the bar and his massive contribution to Gaelic football both in Donegal and nationally and instilling massive pride for us as Donegal supporters. It was a great honour as host club to be a big part of the homecomings in the last few years and witness the joy and happiness on the Diamond. We wish you good success in your career at Celtic F.C. and all your endeavours and we also extend best wishes to your wife Yvonne and young family for the future. Thanks for the great Memories. From Four Masters.
