ADULT FOOTBALLERS
Our senior and reserves got their respective championship campaigns underway in front of a large crowd in Connolly Park on Sunday but unfortunately neither side were able to record victories. In the curtain raiser, St Eunans came out on top 4-8 to 1-4, Jordan Mc Laughlin getting the goal. While in the senior championship, St Eunans gained revenge for last season championship defeat by coming away with a win. It looked all so different after 20 mins as Malin lead by 3 points, courtesy of goals from Brendan Mc Laughlin and Paul Mc Laughlin. The sides were level at the break, but St Eunans took control in the second half, coming away with a 1-17 to 2-6 win.
Next up are N Chonaill from Glenties in the 2nd round of games in the championship on Saturday evening. It’s a game in which we must at least get a share of the spoils if we are to harbour any realistic chance of qualifying to the knockout stages of the competition. The club are hoping to run a supporters bus to Saturdays games. Anyone interested in booking a seat is asked to contact David Gallagher on 086 8073786. Very more details, keep an eye on the club facebook and twitter in the coming days.
