Under 12 Girls
The under12 girls attended the county development blitz on Saturday. Unfortunately we only had 8 players available & we were a player short in each game. However the girls stood up and played out of their skins and won their first two games to go through to the final against Downings. Unfortunately being a player short all day took its toll on our girls and the fatigue was evident during the final. Everyone of the girls stood up and were counted and gave their all. Because of being a player short we also had Ciara Mc Garvey injured going into the tournament & she had to play in goal, she was badly missed outfield. However we had great performances from Marcella Dolan, Aoife Kelly & Clara Rodden up the centre, & they were very well supported by Courtney Brennan & Lauren Russell, in defence & Leah Kelly & Shannon Rutland up front.
Well done to all the girls.
