Donegal Minor Hurlers
Hard luck to the Minors, with a good representation from our club, who lost out to Roscommon by 3 points after extra time on Saturday.
Club Minor Hurling
Minor final ended in a draw 01-10 but Buncrana will take little comfort from this result. They were by far the better team but left victory behind them on the pitch. Let’s hope they don’t let it slip away against Aodh Ruadh in the replay…
All Ireland Quarter Final
Congratulations to Donegal who came through a tough quarter final against Armagh on Saturday. Well done to clubman Darrach O’Connor who got into the action late on in the second half. Next up will be the toughest test of the year against a formidable Dublin.
Senior Training
Seniors & Minors Hurling training is on Wednesdays at 7.00pm. All players are urged to make every effort to attend.
Seniors, Reserves, U-18, & U21 Football training is on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7.30 in the Scarvey. New players always welcome!
Senior Ladies
Congratulations to the Senior Ladies on a great 3-9 to 1-6 win over Naomh Conaill in terrible conditions at the Scarvey. This was a brilliant all round team performance. Well done to all involved. The return leg will be in 2 weeks time.

Club Jerseys
Elizabeth Anne is now taking orders for the new Buncrana club jersey. Keep in mind lads that they are player fit/tight fit. If you want to order one let her know the size and number on back you require, price €50. EA also has club shorts and white shorts are in stock.
Under Age Reports
Under 16 Girls
Last Friday our girls played a league game against Malin at home in perfect conditions. The visitors put it up to us but our strong back line ensured that we remained comfortable throughout. Our good numbers at training paid dividends as the whole team produced the goods. The scores were delivered confidently throughout by our ever faithful forwards with scores by: Catherine Loughrey, Shauna Coyle, Niamh Ryan, Eimear Clerkin, Louise Devlin and Leah Henderson. This team was complemented by a group of dedicated under 14’s who can always be relied upon. It was a good all round team performance making it impossible to name a ‘girl of the match’. The game finished 2-9 to 2-6
Please note that Under 6 Training is taking a break and will not take place on Friday the 15th August and Friday the 20th August. It will resume on Friday the 29th August at the usual time.
No Under 8 training until August 28th either.
Summer Fun Camp
This will run from the 18th to 22nd August and here’s hoping for some nice weather. Either way, it’s always a great occasion for the kids and they get a lot out of it. Contact Aidan Mulholland or any Bord na nOg committee member for more details if you have not signed up already.

Summer BBQ at the Scarvey
This is one social event you don’t want to miss! The Club’s Annual BBQ will be held in the Scarvey on Saturday 16th August starting at 8pm. This event is open to everyone and a great night’s entertainment is guaranteed. Music is by the ever-popular ‘Inch Ramblers’.
For your €10 you get top-class entertainment and fed with 2 burgers or Hot Dogs. Tickets on sale now or simply turn up on the night…and pray for good weather in the meantime (but we’ll put up the marquee in any case!).
Club Lotto
Lotto numbers drawn in the clubhouse tonight were 1, 9, 19, and 28. The good news, according to the Treasurer, is that there was no jackpot winner! A few players came close, only one number out, but you get nothing for 3! Better luck next week folks…I’d love someone to win if only to see JP cry!! Lotto sellers always wanted so contact Treasurer for more info.
