Buncrana GAA Notes for Week Ending Sunday 3rd August 2014
Donegal Minors
Congratulations to Donegal Minors, winners against Roscommon on Saturday and now into the All Ireland semi-finals with a major contribution from Buncrana lads Caolan McGonigle and John Campbell. Comhgairdeas a bhuachailli!
All Ireland Quarter Final
Best of luck to Donegal in their all-Ulster quarter final against Armagh next Saturday in Croke Park. The club and county will be behind the team, especially our club members Darrach O’Connor and Paul McGonigle. Buncrana Abu!
Minor Hurlers
Good luck to our minor hurlers who take on old rivals Aodh Ruadh from Ballyshannon in the championship final on Tuesday 5th in O’Donnell Park. Throw in at 7pm and all support welcome.
Annual Family Fun Day
It was wet, darn wet…but a great day too! Thanks to everyone who came out for the Club’s annual Family Fun Day, all the kids had a fantastic time and it was amazing the number of medals and trophies they won. I’d say every kid there went home with a prize…and some of the adults too! The Club also wants to thank everyone who organised, baked, sold tickets, managed events, ran stalls, Nicholas Crossan for compering, anyone who helped out in any way. Buncrana GAA, community action at its best!
