Centra Community Hurling Event to take place on 28th June with hurling stars Damien Hayes and Liam Rushe
To celebrate Centra’s fifth year as sponsor of the GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, Centra are bringing together the brightest stars of hurling this summer for fun community events in GAA clubs throughout the country.
On Saturday 28th June, one of 16 community events will be travelling to O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny, with Galway hurling legend, Damien Hayes, and Dublin star Liam Rushe, on hand to give bright young stars from local Donegal clubs the chance to develop their game and learn from the best!
There will be plenty of fun to be had on the day as Centra aims to bring the whole community together through a special hurling skills session and a host of family entertainment including face painting, a hurling simulator to test your hurling skills, music and goodie bags. Highland Radio will also be on site to add to the atmosphere of the day!
To sign up for the event, register instore in a participating Centra store. Closing date for entries is Friday 20th June. The event commences at 10am on Saturday 28th June in O’Donnell Park. The hurling skills session is open to boys and girls of all standards from ages five to twelve.
This family fun event is supported by the following participating Centra stores; Joyce’s Centra Clonmany, Doherty’s Centra Moville, Diver’s Centra Ardara, Rooney’s Centra Donegal Town, Gormley’s Centra Letterkenny, Kelly’s Centra Mountain Top, Boyce’s Centra Carrigart and McCosker’s Centra Ballyshannon.
