Traffic Management Ballyshannon on Sunday

A capacity crowd is expected at Ballyshannon this Sunday March 24th for the crunch tie between Donegal and Kildare – a match where either side, but not both, could win promotion back to Roinn 1. A trip to Corke Park and a spot in the second division final against either Fermanagh or Meath next Sunday March 31st is also up for grabs.

To facilitate traffic management, Donegal traffic should head for car parks in the town and take the short walk to Fr. Tierney Park (500m from the Erne bridge). Kildare traffic can park on the east and west rock areas or go to the town car parks. See the maps with this post indicating the carparks as well as pedestrian routes, including the rock steps, the walkway to the rock and the two road access routes at the east and west ports.

There is limited parking near the ground for those who come early. There is also a limited amount of blue badge permit holders at adjacent to the ground, again patrons are asked to come early if they require such parking.
