St. Michael’s Notes

All County League

Both teams were at home to Gweedore in the All County League Division1 and Division 1 Reserve on Saturday evening last and both recorded good victories.

The Seniors inflicted Gweedore’s first defeat in the League this year winning on a scoreline of St. Michael’s 3-8 Gweedore 0-11.

The St Michael’s Team and scorers were: Dean McColgan; Stephen Doak, Stephen Black, Michael Gallagher; Liam Paul Ferry, Michael McGinley, Michael Cannon (0-1); Ciaran Gallagher (0-1), Christy Toye (0-1); Ryan Langan, Colm McFadden (2-3, 1-0 penalty.1 f), Caolan McGee (0-1); Michael Langan, Andrew Kelly (0-1), Brian  McLaughlin (1-0).

Subs: Daniel McLaughlin for M Langan 37; Oisin Langan for C McGee 49; Odhran McFadden for B McLaughlin 51; Michael Langan for A Kelly 56.

The Reserves also recorded a very good victory winning on a scoreline of St. Michael’s 3-11 Gweedore 0-12.

The St. Michael’s Team and scorers were: Dean Fleming, Patrick McFadden, Brendan Rodden, Peter Sweeney, Ruairi Friel 1-0, Jamie Hunter, Chris McElhinney 0-5, Paul Baird, Caolin Toye, Chris Carr, John McFadde, Daniel Doak, Hugh O’Donnell 2-0, Stephen Coyle 0-4, James Sharkey 0-1.  Subs: Denis Trearty for Chris Carr, Lee McColgan 0-1 for Daniel Doak, Stephen Horan for James Sharkey.

There are no league matches this weekend.  The seniors and reserves are away to Naomh Conaill in Glenties on Saturday the 11th June with the throw ins at 6pm and 7.30pm.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto

There was no jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night last.  The numbers drawn were 1,3,8,9,10,14.  Five people matched 5 Charlie Sweeney Swillybrin, Danny Langan Snr Creeslough, Patricia Hunter Ards, Sadie O’Donnell Annagry and Sheila Coyle Casey Dunfanaghy who won €20 each. This weeks Jackpot be €2300.

St. Michael’s Bingo Session

The €100 on the 5th Game at the Bingo Session in Dunfanaghy on Sunday night last was shared by Martin Keaveney Chapel Road Dunfanaghy and Margaret Brennan Massinas Creeslough, the winner of the €100 on the 10th Game was Charlotte Breslin Creeslough.

Every house New Car if you check on 45 Numbers or less with the Lucky number in the Panel and also called in the first five numbers of that game.

The Magic Number from 1 to 90 is drawn out every Sunday night before the bingo begins.  In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €2300.  The single book is €8, Double, Double Book €12, Sheet €2. Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre.

Well done to Kieran McGinley who was part of the Donegal Minor Team that defeated Antrim in Belfast on Sunday evening last.

St. Michael’s Minor Board

Safe Guarding Course

A Child safe guarding course has been organised in conjunction with Dunfanaghy Golf Club. This course will take place on Friday 3rd June at 7pm in Dunfanaghy Golf Club.

It is vital that all people dealing with underage players have completed this course.

To book your place on this course PM us. There is no charge for this course.

Under 8’s

Our under 8’s got off to the first blitz of the season last Saturday away to Naomh Colmcille in Newtowncunningham. The children all enjoyed themselves boosted by the good weather and thanks to our hosts for the hospitability and good organisation.  Our under 8’s are scheduled to play Robert Emmetts at home this Saturday June 4th.  The under 8’s’s are due to play Red Hughs on Saturday June 11th.Training takes place every Thursday evening at the Bridge from 6pm to 7pm, bus leaves Creeslough at 5.45pm, gumshields essential, 3 euro for bus. Training continues on Tuesday evening at the Bridge.  Bus leaving corner of the garden at 5.15pm . Training is from 5.45pm to 7pm. 3 euros for bus. And any queries contact Brandon on 0860765703.  

Under 12 Go Games have started, throw in every Wednesday evening at 7pm.

Our under 12’s were away to Cloughaneely last Wednesday; the A team were slightly ahead at half time but fell away in the second half and the hosts ran out the victors.

The B team lost despite good individual performances.

We are now scheduled to play Fanad Geals at home on Wednesday June 1st and Downings at home on June the 8th.
