LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner this week. The winning numbers were 2, 19, 22, 34. The €50 runner-up prize goes to Eddie Doherty. Next week’s jackpot will be €6,500. Thank you for your continued support. We would like to appeal for more Lotto sellers as it is out main source of income.

THE MINOR GIRLS NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Moville girls minor team will take on Eastern Gaels of Cavan this Sunday at 2pm at home in Carrick Field in the Ulster semi-final. It is a great occasion that a Moville GAA team reached an Ulster semi-final and an even bigger occasion to be hosting the game in the parish. The throw in is at 2pm and it would be fantastic to get a large number of supporters for such an important game. Remember – nothing beats being there…

DATES FOR THE DIARY

Friday 5th December Moville GAA AGM takes place in the clubhouse, starting at 9pm. All members are welcome to attend.

Saturday 6th December The Christmas Cup for underage players. Details below. Registration from 12.30 and the competition takes place between 1 and 3.

Sunday 7th December Minor girls Ulster semi-final vs Eastern Gaels at home. Throw in at 2pm

Saturday 24th January The club dinner dance will take place. Details will follow at a later date.

UNDERAGE TRAINING

The underage training will take a winter break after 6th December until 10th January. The toddlers and U6’s will train as normal this week and the other age-groups training will be replaced by the Christmas Cup. For future reference the times are as follows: Toddlers, U6s & U8s boys and girls from 10am-11am. U10 boys from 11-12 and U10 & U12 girls from 11-12. U12 boys training takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7 – 8pm. All new children welcome. Congratulations to the players of the week this week: U8s were Orla Harkin and Paul Brennan. U10’s were Shane Kane and Grainne McCann.

The Christmas Cup will take place on Saturday 6th December….who will win the battle of the counties this year and take the trophy away from the current holders, London? Registration takes

place from 12.30pm and the competition will run from 1pm – 3pm. It is aimed at U8, U10 and U12 players. The competition will be followed by the end of year underage presentation with some food to be served. The day should finish around 4pm, and all parents are welcome to attend.

Toddlers and U6 will train as normal on Saturday from 10am – 11am followed by their presentation from 11-12. We hope to have our usual special guest of honour. All parents are welcome.

MISCALLANEOUS NOTES

Why not contact Brigid Harkin for some club merchandise in the run up to Christmas? It would make a great stocking filler, orders for merchandise should be in ASAP to guarantee they’ll be in time for Christmas.
