Urris GAA Club Notes 16/03/2015

SENIOR & RESERVES FOOTBALL: The Seniors & Reserves have their first league game in division 3 away to Milford on Saturday night. The lads had a victory over Muff last weekend in a challenge match played in good conditions. Outdoor training every Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7.30pm.

LADIES FOOTBALL: The ladies game against St Eunan’s B was called off at the weekend as the Letterkenny side could not field. Training continues every Wednesday night at 7.30pm and on Saturday’s at 11.30am. Next fixture down on the list is a home game to Fanad on Sunday. But as fixtures may change for various reasons please check our Face Book page for updates daily.

U18 Inishowen League: Our U18 team played Burt on Saturday past in Straid, victory to the visitors. Next match is Carndonagh away on Tuesday evening.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP: Club membership is now due for 2015–Fees for the year: Adult Membership €25, Students (3rd level & in full time education with student ID card) €15 and Under-age €3. Anyone playing football for the club must have their membership paid up to be covered by insurance in case of injury. Club members will have also have first preference on Donegal Match tickets for the coming season. Fees must be paid in full by March 31st. Payable to John Friel, Edward Mc Laughlin, Nichola Donaghey or any Committee members. Clubhouse open on Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm.

MATCH “N” WIN: March 12th: No jackpot winner, numbers drawn: 3, 4, 14 & 23. €15 winners: Sara Harkin, Tullagh, Paul Doherty (tim), Tullagh, P Davenport, Clonmany, Maura Mc Geoghan, Annaugh and Sean O’Donnell, Minahaw. EASTER DRAW: Tickets are now on sale for our Easter Draw for Under Age football in the club. Some great prizes to be won. 1st prize- €100 hamper, 2nd prize- €50 hamper, 3rd Large Easter Egg plus four other prizes of chocs and more eggs. Tickets €2. Draw takes place on Easter Saturday April 4th in Mac Tams.

CHILD PROTECTION COURSE: The club is holding a Child Protection Course on Monday March 23rd in the clubhouse, all coaches are encouraged to attend this very important course. Please let Susan Mc Carron know on 0863945954 if you can attend.

U16 Boys Training: Training on Tuesday nights from from 6.45 pm to 8pm in the Youth Club. Can all bring €2 to cover cost of the hall. U16 team away to Moville on Sunday, please check our FB page for times etc.

U14 Boys Training: On Monday nights at 7pm in Straid.

U12 Training: Boys & girls training in Straid every Thursday at 4pm.

U6 & U8 : Training for both U6 & U8 every at 11am in the Youth Club Clonmany. All children must be at school-no pre school children.

U10 GIRLS: Well done to our U10 girls who took part in the indoor league in Buncrana on Saturday afternoon and on winning on the day.The girls are playing Malin this weekend (Saturday) in the Youth Club at 12.

BINGO: Bingo every Thursday night in St. Mary’s Hall, Clonmany at 9pm.

MONSTER BINGO: MONSTER BINGO: On Sunday next, March 22nd, Monster Bingo in the Community Centre, Clonmany at 3pm hosted by CLG Iorras in aid of St. Columbcille High Support Unit & Day Centre in Cleagh. €1,000 to be won on the 9th page.
