Termon, Killybegs and Gaoth Dobhair head for the quarterfinals of the Division 1 Go Power Minor Championship

 Section A

Aodh Ruadh Béal Átha Seanaigh 3-5 An Tearmainn 5-10

Termon top Section A of the Go Power Minor championship after last night’s win over Aodh Ruadh in Fr Tierney Park having beaten Red Hughs the previous week. With the top two from each section and the two best runner-up progressing they are assured of a place in the quarterfinals as whoever ends third in Section C wll have less than four league points. Aodh Ruadh were also defeated, by Naomh Conaill, in Round 1.

Section B

Na Dúnaibh 0-8 Na Cealla Beaga 3-16

Na Cealla Beaga will join Termon in the quarterfinals. They followed up their narrow win over St Eunan’s in Round 1 with a comprehensive victory at Pairc na Dunaibh yesterday evening. The St Eunans v MacCumhails game was postponed. Downings defeated MacCumhaills in Round 1 and can still progress if they defeat Eunans in their final game.

Section C

Ard an Ratha 0-9 Naomh Columba 1-4

Naomh Pádraig Uisce Chaoin 0-2 Gaoth Dobhair 4-11

Gaoth Dobhair are through from Section C. Having beaten Ardara in a one-side game last week they won well in Muff on Monday evening to go clear at the top of Section A. Ardara had just two points to spare against Naomh Columba and will host Naomh Pádraig next week to determine who joins Gaoth Dobhair in the semi-finals – the Muff side defeated Naomh Columba in Round 1. The losers, however, will not necessarily be eliminated as this will depend on results in sections A and B to determine which of the third placed teams do not qualify.
