Over the last week the links for booking places at the series of coaching workshops organised by Aaron Kyles have been put up on this website and promoted via Social Media. The first three on:
Handling and Passing;
Hurling Skills; and
Movement and Skill Development.
have been filling up fast. This is a fact not a marketing ploy so if clubs are serious about attending they should scroll back through these web blogs and book their place before they are all taken.
The fourth and last workshop of the year will be a little different and will be in LYIT rather than the Aura Centre. It is a talk on Strength on Conditioning followed by a Q&A session rather than a workshop with active coach participation. It will be be given by Joe O’Connor a lecturer in Exercise Physiology & Performance Nutrition at the Institute of Technology in Tralee. Joe is also owner of Nissus Fitness. He has served as S&C coach with the Kerry Senior Footballers and Waterford Senior Hurlers as well as performing the same role in helping to guide Clare (2013) and Limerick (2018), his native county, to Liam McCarthy success. The Eventbrite link for booking places is below:
In response to the survey completed by club coaching officers, further workshops are planned for 2020 and two are already confirmed: Planning the Club Season (Jan 20th) and Tackling and Evasion (Feb 4th). The booking links for these courses will appear on www.donegalgaa.ie in the next few weeks.
