St. Michael’s Notes

Championship Draws

In the Senior Championship Draw made on Saturday last in Letterkenny.  The club have been drawn in Group B which is the Group of death this year.  The full group is St Michael’s, Killybegs, St Eunan’s, Kilcar.  We are at away to Kilcar and at home to Killybegs and St. Eunans.

All County League

The All County Leagues get underway this weekend and both teams are away to Dungloe in Division 1 and Division 1 Reserve with the Reserve Match at 1.30pm and the Senior Match at 3pm.  Good luck to Eddie and Gavin and their teams this year.

National Draw

In the recent National Draw St. Michael’s were second overall in the county most tickets sold.

Well done to everyone who supported the draw locally, thank you.

Well done to Kieran McGinley who played a starring role in the County Minors victory over Fermanagh at the weekend.

Lotto

St. Michael’s will have a stand at Lafferty’s Supermarket in Creeslough on this Friday the 18th March, selling lotto and also taking membership.

St. Patrick’s Day

St. Michael’s are taking part in the Parades in Creeslough and Dunfanaghy on St. Patrick’s Day and all help would be appreciated.

St. Michael’s Mini Lotto

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday Night last; The numbers drawn were 4,8,10,14,16,18.  There were no Match 5 winners, 19 people matched 4 and their names were drawn; the winner of the €100 was Sadie McFadden Roscad.  This weeks Jackpot be €3000. The Club would like to thank Brian and Margaret Anne Dolan, Molly’s Bar Dunfanaghy, Seamus Sweeney Kildarragh Construction Philadelphia, Shaun Langan Creeslough Pallets and Michael McColgan Dunfanaghy for their continuing sponsorship of the lotto jackpot, it is very much appreciated.    ,

Tickets are on sale in local businesses in Dunfanaghy and Creeslough and at the Bingo Session in Massinass Community Centre Creeslough on Sunday evenings, tickets for the St. Michaels Mini Lotto can now also be purchased on line anywhere at at onlinelotto on facebook .

Drive Home in Style from the Bingo in Creeslough

The winner of the €100 on the 5th game at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre on Sunday night last was Molly Keaveney Dunfanaghy;  the €100 on the 9th game was won by Sinead McColgan.

You could win a car on every game every Sunday night at the Bingo Session in the Massinass Community Centre Creeslough by winning a house on 45 nos or less.  Check on 45 Numbers or less with the magic number in the panel and the lucky number drawn in the first five numbers of that game, you win the car or €10,000.  The normal Snowball is also in place every night. The Magic Number from 1 to 90 is drawn out every Sunday night before the bingo begins.  The car was in play last Sunday night but was not won. In addition every House winner will receive a free entry to the weekly lotto, this weeks Jackpot is €3000.  The single book is €8. Bingo continues every Sunday evening at 8pm in the Massinass Community Centre.

This Weeks €50 Club winners were €65 Gerard Kelly Carrowcannon Falcarragh, €35 May Cox Ards and €35 James Sayers Earrooey.

St. Michael’s Lotto Rota

The names for the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto Rota for this Saturday night the 19th March Dunfanaghy Gavin McGinley and Mark Langan Creeslough Daniel McLaughlin; 26th March Dunfanaghy Nicola Ferry and Andrea Boyce, Creeslough Ollie Rodden.

SOS for Photographs!
Nicola is currently gathering photographs for the clubhouse. If anyone has ANY team photographs from winning senior, reserve, u21 or any underage teams in league/championship/Gaeltacht she would really appreciate if you let her know. All hard copies of the photos will be returned to you safely once we make a copy of them or likewise photos can be emailed to secretary.stmichaels.donegal@gaa.ie
Please spread the word as the team photos required date back to 1967!!

Club Gear

Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure is now stocking St Michaels club gear in children and adult sizes.

Initials can be embroidered on tops if requested in the shop.

St. Michael’s Minor Board

Parish League

The St. Michael’s Parish League will begin shortly.  More details later.

U14s

Training now takes place every FRIDAY evening at the Bridge @7pm . The bus is €3 and leaves Creeslough at 6.30pm .

Note : Everyone must be registered with the Club before either training or playing in matches takes place . Registration Is €15 and forms can be got in Creeslough Post Office or by contacting Suzi or Ann Marie Kelly.

Registration for St Michael’s
Would all players( both Senior and Minor )who have not yet registered please contact either Suzi Roarty 087 2829214 or Ann Marie Kelly 087 9454107 ASAP as players must be registered before training or playing matches . Membership fees are adult: €30; minor/child: €15 and family discounts are available.

Membership forms are also available in Creeslough Post Office.

All Membership must be registered with Croke Park by the 31st March.  Only those registered by this date will be able to apply for tickets for county matches later on and also be eligible to vote at the AGM or be part of the Executive Committee of the club.

Registration Evening

St. Michael’s GAA Club will hold a registration evening in the Wild Atlantic Camp in Creeslough on Tuesday the 15th March from 7pm to 8pm.

U16s
Matches for the U 16s does not take place until after the Junior Cert Exams in June. Players will be advised when training commences by the manager –Martin
