Club Notes: 15th of March 2015

Donegal/Kerry National Football League:

Hard luck to the Donegal team in their defeat to Kerry in Tralee on Sunday. Good luck to Marty, Rory and all the team in the next game in 2 weeks.

Donegal/Down National Hurling League:

Hard luck to the Donegal hurling team and the representatives from the club in their away defeat to Down on Sunday in the Allianz Hurling League. Best of luck in the next game lads.

Donegal/Cavan U-21 Ulster Championship:

Donegal host Cavan in the U21 Ulster Championship on Wednesday night. We are asking anyone who is in a position to steward or help out on the night to get in contact.

Minor Result:

Result: Sean MacCumhaills 2-03 Convoy 4-10

The minor’s second game of the season and first home game was played in perfect conditions on Saturday morning. Unfortunately for the home team, neighbours St. Mary’s (Convoy) overpowered Mac Cumhaills and in fairness were well deserving of their win. We went 41 minutes, between 2 halves of football without a score from play and at this level which can be very unforgiving. The pitch was a credit to the ground staff and the use of main dressing rooms was appreciated. All the players showed great effort and enthusiasm.

Best for MacCumhaills were A. Lynch A. Dullaghan, F. Griffin, C. Dunnion and C. Wong who made some fine saves.

MacCumhaills Scorers – C.Dunnion (1-1), E. McDermott (1-0), N. Gavigan (0-1), A. Lynch (0-1)
