Scór (Sinsir) Caoga I gCaisleán an Bharraigh

Ádh mór ar ár gcuid iomaitheoirí as Dún na nGall i mbabhta ceannais na hÉireann agus scór ag ceiliúradh caoga bliain ag an deireadh seachtain. Beidh Gaeil Fhánada ag glacadh páirt I dTráth na gCeist agus Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn ar an stáitse sa Léiriú i gCaisleán an Bharraigh Dé Satharn agus iad ag déanadh ionádáiochta ar son Dún na nGall agus Uladh.

The town of Castlebar in Co. Mayo will become the epicentre of Irish Culture this weekend, as the TF Theatre plays host to the prestigious GAA All Ireland Scór Sinsir Finals. With 2019 marking the 50th year of the Scór movement, a wonderful spectacle of Irish music, song, dance and drama is planned to commemorate this very special element of the GAA. What was started by Derry Gowan in 1969 to provide a social outlet for club members in winter, has grown into a fantastic source of pride and enjoyment for competitors, families and clubs all over Ireland and an important avenue for the promotion Irish culture, a founding objective of the GAA.

CLG Dhún na nGall are proud to have two acts contesting the finals. Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn won their first ever Ulster title in the Léiriú with a piece that was described by the adjudicator afterwards as “a very clever piece with bags of humour and entertainment value”. They will be joined by Gaeil Fhánada in the Tráth na nCeist. We wish both clubs the very best of luck agus go néirigh go geal leo.

Bhí scór sinsir I nDún na nGall de ardchaighdeán I mbliana agus bhí scór in Uladh mar an gceanna. Mar gheall air seo, tá muid dóchasach go bhfuil seans iontach go mbeidh tiodal nó beirt de chuid Scór Náisiúnta ag teacht ar ais chun na contae. Go néirigh go geal leo agus guímid gach rath ar an dá chlub. Dún na nGall Abú
