The Club Donegal GAA draw for a house in Dublin completed last week and was a very successful fundraiser for the county. Thanks again to all involved from those that bought tickets to the hard-working organisers.
In the early stages, Summer 2019, when the County Board was exploring how best to organise and run such a draw our colleagues in Roscommon were extremely helpful in giving our officers valuable advice. Roscommon are currently holding their own major fundraiser as they try and get funds together to upgrade Dr. Hyde Park and to develop a Centre of Excellence. They are also running a draw with a prize of a luxury apartment in London valued at over €800,000. The tickets are €100 and for those who missed out on the Club Donegal draw and think they might have made a good Christmas present then the Roscommon fundraiser presents an excellent alternative. Their draw is on December 30th.
I am a bit late getting this out there but they are currently running an offer today December 12th offering 12 purchasers the chance to win 12 entries in the draw for the apartment in our 12 for 12 on the 12th. They are seeking support from Gaels nationwide to promote the fundraiser www.winahomeinlondon.com which is as I said to raise funds to build a Centre of Excellence to be named in honour of one of Roscommon’s greatest ever Footballers Dermot Earley.
