*Pramerica Cares – Moyle Park Clean Up*
The Club, alongside Milford United, are looking for a few volunteers for a few hours on Thursday evening for a cleanup of the grounds/clubhouse at Moyle Park. Pramerica Cares Day is a day dedicated to celebrating Pramerica’s ongoing efforts to give back to the communities in which we live and work. There is now a significant number of Pramerica workers living in the Milford Area. Paul Nash has setup a Volunteer project called “CLG BanG U8s and Milford Utd U8s” for Thursday Oct 1st starting at 6PM. The Event is a simple cleanup of the Dressing room areas and around the pitches at Moyle View Park. There will be tea and refreshments on the night as well and the work won’t be too hectic as you know the Park Area is well maintained already.

If you are interested in helping out, please contact Paul on 0868850278. The Most Important Part – After the project is completed, there is a challenge grant which can will be applied for. If that application is successful, The Coaches of the CLG BnaG U8s and Milford Utd U8s will receive 50% each of that Grant. If approved a Grant of $1000 will be paid around March 2016

*U14 Ladies All Ireland 7s*
Our U14 Ladies travelled to Kilmacud Crokes for the All Ireland 7s on Saturday. In their first game they drew with Dublin champions Cuala before beating Limericks Margaret St Pauls and Naomh Eoin of Carlow which put them through to the last 16. There they met unbeaten Kerry champions Cromane and in a brilliant match they won by a point. This put them through to the quarter final against Dunboyne of Meath and they were beaten by a very strong team who went on to be narrowly beaten in the final. This was a great day out for the girls and they gave a brilliant account of themselves. The Club would like to thank the players and management and all the parents who traveled up to support the girls.

*Intermediate Championship Quarter Final Replay*
CLG BnaG 1-8 Aodh Ruadh 2-12
Hard luck to our Seniors who exited the Championship on Saturday night at the hands of Aodh Ruadh in the replay in MacCumhaill Park. Na Galloglaigh never really got going at full speed but got off to a good start when after 9 minutes they were 1-1 to no score up thanks to both scores coming from Kyle Black. Aodh Ruadh responded with a point before Cathal Mc Gettigan got on the scoresheet after 13 but from then on it was the Ballyshannon men who kept the scoreboard ticking over with 1-3 without reply. McGettigan scored another free before Aodh Ruadh got the last point of the half in injury time to leave the half time score 1-3 to 1-5. Again Na Galloglaigh started the half brightly and scores from McGettigan and Black levelled the game up after 34 minutes. But just as they did in the first half Aodh Ruadh began to get on top in the middle third and throughout the course of the game won the vast majority of the breaking balls, while also pulling plenty of men back to crowd out the defence. In the next 16 minutes Aodh Ruadh scored 6 unanswered points before Pauric Curley scored to try and stop the rot. With 7 minutes left McGettigan reduced the deficit to 4 and in the final few minutes Na Galloglaigh had 3 half decent goal chances which didn’t come off, whereby had they taken their points there would have been just 1 between the sides. Instead at the breakdown of that 3rd goal chance Aodh Ruadh broke up the field to get a goal themselves to put the final nail in the coffin. Deep in injury time Curley added a consolation point but in fairness there can be no complaints as the boys really didn’t show up today and were guilty of handily giving away possession numerous times, whereas Aodh Ruadh were much more impressive and clinical than they had been in Convoy and fully deserved their win. Aodh Ruadh now go on to play Bundoran in the semi final with Na Galloglaigh having a sense that they left behind them in Convoy two weeks ago. Attention now turns back to the league for the boys with their focus firmly set on promotion, next up in Division 3 is scheduled to be a home game against Naomh Brid on Saturday October 3rd.
Team: Sean Gallagher, Kieran Sheridan, Sean Black, Gary Merritt, Tj Evesson, Enda McHugh, Gavin Grier, Joey Cullen, Jonny Logue, Pauric Curley (0-2), Christopher Barrett, Luke Barrett, Kyle Black (1-2), Cathal McGettigan (0-4), Paddy Peoples.
