Medal Presentation to U14 Donegal Hurlers

The Donegal U14 B Hurling Division 2 Championship team were presented with their medals in a wonderful community event held in O’Donnell Park on Sunday 17th of February. The medals were presented by Mick McGrath the County Chairman, assisted by Manus O’Donnel the U14 Manager and current County Hurling Board Chair. The team mentors included Ray Winters, Stephen Doherty, Denis Daly and Anthony Coyle. Having won the C Hurling Championship several times the County upgraded to playing in Group B. From there they made the final two years previously. They have now progressed another step defeating Roscommon in the final. This is a great achievement for the development of hurling in the county. It is great to see young players progress so well. They are a credit to their county, their mentors and all involved in getting the team to this point. The panel are now entering the new All-Ireland Hibernian U15 competition and we wish them well. Training starts in April and we encourage you to attend the matches to bolster the lads confidence by cheering them on.
